Like Mary Wollstonecraft, this 2016 Riesling rebels against the common conception of Ontarian Rieslings. Its components are greatly integrated so that none of them stand out or dominate the other. The sweetness is fruity but melds beautifully with the acidity; the acidity in turn is completely in balance with a fresh tropicality and mineral aspect; that in turn blends right through a lingering finish of green apple and passion fruit. It is equal parts zesty, candied, light, complex and entirely too refreshing. This is a Riesling to be enjoyed with curries, Drunken Noodles, Bacon and Egg Pizza, or Honey-Soy Roasted Pork. Just make sure your company is good and celebrates the radical beauty of the individual.
